Rip Space

founder + curator · Rip Space, Los Angeles, CA

Rip Space is a Los Angeles–based curatorial platform and project space co-founded in 2024 by curator Vera Petukhova. The platform supports future-oriented artistic practices and emergent paradigms across contemporary art, media, design, technology, and sensory and spatial practice.

Through exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, talks, and public gatherings, Rip Space creates contexts for artistic experimentation, critical inquiry, and new forms of cultural production. Its programming brings together practices that move between disciplines and resist fixed categories, spanning visual art, moving image, sound, performance, installation, design, sensory practice, and emerging media.

The platform prioritizes process, collaborative ideation, and artist-led experimentation, creating space for practices to develop through exchange.

Building on its foundation in new media and digital culture, Rip Space has expanded into a broader field of contemporary artistic and cultural practice. Operating through a flexible and distributed model across physical and digital contexts, it collaborates with artists, institutions, and independent spaces in Los Angeles and beyond.
